My research objective is to determine the causes and mechanisms of human diseases – particularly those that disrupt brain development and aging. My group focuses on vulnerable gene pathways and physiological systems that are targets of environmental exposures. Research projects in the lab interrogate the impacts of environmental stressors on gene expression, mutagenesis, development, cellular and molecular aging, and inflammatory cascades in the nervous system.
