Welcome to the Research Lab of Dr. Craig Marcus and Dr. Andrew Annalora!
Our research focuses on the role of Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes in environmentally-induced human diseases. We study the structure, function and regulation of the CYP superfamily of enzymes. Our current research projects focuses on: a) how environmental xenobiotics may affect splicing in the P450 super family of enzymes and associated nuclear receptors and transmembrane transporters; and b) we are working to identify endogenous substrates of CYPs with important cell regulatory functions which may play important roles in wound healing, vascular development, glaucoma and cancer.
