Research Focus: Mechanistic and computational toxicology, organotypic in vitro models, inhalation toxicology, chemical mixtures, predictive models, carcinogenesis
The Tilton Lab uses molecular and computational tools to predict toxicity of chemical contaminants in the environment. Her research program develops and applies advanced cell culture techniques and organotypic models to explore mechanisms of toxicity and disease in human systems with a primary goal to use these new approach methodologies for improved translation and risk assessment. Her lab is particularly interested in identifying environmental health outcomes associated with inhaled pollutants and chemical mixtures from urban environments, contaminated sites and wildfires.
