How to Apply for the Accelerated Master’s Platform

Eligibility Requirements | Application Components | Application Deadline | Apply Online

Outstanding undergraduate OSU students who have completed >105 of their required 180 credits towards their degree with an overall GPA of 3.25 or better are eligible to apply during their junior year. Postbaccalaureate students do not qualify for AMP.

Admission to the AMP will be competitive with students applying directly to the graduate program. The master’s program will notify applicants of admissions decisions during the spring term. Accepted students will begin taking master’s level classes during the fall term of their senior year. With careful planning, students can then complete a master’s degree within 1 year after completing their bachelor’s degree.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students should have completed at least 105 credits towards your undergraduate degree program
  • A minimum of 3.25 GPA
  • No GRE needed
  • Transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended
  • Three letters of reference. One of the reference letters must be from the applicant's potential graduate advisor
  • Meet the English language proficiency standards per the Graduate Catalog.
  • A plan of courses to be taken during senior year and signed by your potential graduate advisor that shows completion of the undergraduate degree and expected graduate courses
  • Approval of an advisor and the application code for the program (please contact Lisa Truong for a code) - there is no application fee with the code.

The plan must be signed by the graduate advisor for non-thesis master's programs or the major professor/advisor for thesis-based master's programs. This does not replace the Program of Study.
