Bonnie Bailey
Ph.D in Toxicology 2000

I graduated with a PhD from the EMT department in 2000. Immediately following graduation I worked at CH2MHill in Corvallis doing risk assessment for hazardous waste sites. I worked part-time after my first child was born, Wesley (8 years old) and then took time off from work for a while after my second child was born, William (6 years old). I did some pesticide research and risk assessment work at Oregon State University a few years ago. Currently, I am happy being a stay-at-home mom. My husband and I enjoy living in Corvallis.

Fond memories of working with Gene Johnson and Bobby Loper on developing analytical methodologies for my graduate projects, I learned a lot.  Also meeting and marrying my wife Sam Ebbert who was also working on a Toxicology degree.  The photo is of myself in the top center and colleaques from USGS and USDA - ARS

Meeting my wife (Buhler’s secretary) and stealing her away from him; having a panic attack when the elevator got stuck on the way to my thesis defense; more panic when a member of my committee (Don Reed) fell asleep 10 minutes into my talk.
