Applying to the EMT Department 

The Department of Environmental & Molecular Toxicology accepts students for Fall Term admission only.

Applications are not considered complete until the following items have been recieved by the department and the Grad School. Please be sure to send the correct documents to the appropriate Department to allow for timely processing.

First, fill out your online application.

• Create a user account if you are a first time applicant, or use your existing Login and Pin if you are currently an OSU student or have already registered
• When you're finishing filling out your application, you will be asked to pay the $60 application fee online via a debit/credit card. This will complete your web application submission. Then follow steps below.

Upon submitting your online application, please send the following documents to the Graduate School (address below)

• Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work

• International Student Certification of Finances for non-U.S. applicants


• A photocopy of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores (non-U.S. applicants only)
  For information regarding required scores click here

Then, send the following documents to the EMT Department (address below)

• Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores

• Three (3) letters of recommendation (on official letterhead & sealed)

• Original TOEFL scores

Application deadline

For full consideration, the complete application for fall admission must be received no later than January 31st.
