Craig Marcus, Department Head
The Department of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology is
located within the College of Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University and
has close ties with OSU Extension, the College of Science, and a number of collaborative
programs, two of which are NIEHS-supported.
Graduate Program
The Department houses a graduate program in
toxicology supported by a National Institute of
Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) training grant. There are currently
25 graduate
students. 100% of the full-time students are supported with assistantships.
The Department offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in toxicology in four curriculum
concentration areas:
- Environmental Chemistry and
Ecotoxicology
- Mechanistic
Toxicology
- Molecular and Cellular
Toxicology
- Neurotoxicology
Undergraduate Minor
The department also offers an Undergraduate
Minor in Toxicology.
Faculty
The Department has active research programs
supported by more than $4.4 million of funding with 20 tenured and tenure-track
faculty and
a number of affiliated
faculty. Several faculty members have Extension
appointments. The faculty also belong to a number of professional societies.
